Robbery suspect arrested

The Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office has taken into custody the man who is suspected of robbing the Cross Convenience Store at 1883 Old Highway 6 on Jan. 8.
According to the BCSO, after the media aired and printed the story, including surveillance video, a tip received from the public led to the arrest of Michael Fennick Jr., 37, of Moncks Corner, who was living at 204 Acme St. in Eutawville.
He was arrested early Sunday evening and is being held at the Hill-Finklea Detention Center on charges of strong-armed robbery, and assault and battery, third degree.
Fennick had just been released from jail last November after posting bond for another charge of strong-armed robbery in the Moncks Corner area.
