Published Thursday, February 04, 2010 8:32 AM
ROCK HILL, S.C. (AP) — Two South Carolina police officers have been shot and wounded and officers say a suspect also was shot and injured.

Multiple media outlets reported the shootings occurred during a drug raid shortly after 10 p.m. Wednesday in Rock Hill.

Police Lt. Brad Redfearn says neither officer was seriously injured. They were taken to Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill. Their names were not released, but Redfearn says one is a Rock Hill officer and the other is with the Fort Mill Police Department.

Redfearn says officers returned fire and the suspect also was taken to Piedmont Medical Center. His name and condition have not been released.

The State Law Enforcement Division is investigating.
