Ex-SC deacon gets 4 extra years behind bars
Published Friday, January 15, 2010 8:25 AM
GREENVILLE, S.C. (AP) — A former South Carolina church deacon will have to spend an additional four years in prison after pleading guilty to two counts of kidnapping.

Multiple media outlets say Bruce Windsor was ordered to spend 15 years behind bars on the state charges Thursday.

Last month, the father of four was sentenced to 11 years in prison on federal bank robbery and weapons charges.

Windsor will serve that entire sentence in federal prison while getting credit for the 15-year sentence in state court. He will then have to serve the remaining four years behind bars in a South Carolina prison.

Prosecutors say the former youth soccer coach donned a mask and wig, entered a Greenville bank last year and pointed a gun at bank workers, demanding cash.
