Child, adult killed in five-car collision in SC
Published Monday, March 08, 2010 9:25 AM
ORANGEBURG, S.C. (AP) — A man and a 5-year-old boy were killed in a five-car crash in Orangeburg County.

Orangeburg County Coroner Samuetta Marshall told the Times & Democrat of Orangeburg that 54-year-old Victor Felder and his passenger Isaiah Johnson died Saturday. Both were from St. George.

The crash happened on Interstate 26 about five miles north of Orangeburg.

Highway Patrol Lance Cpl. Josef Robinson said seven people were taken to the hospital for treatment. The crash is under investigation, but Robinson said the chain-reaction started when Felder's pickup truck hit an empty car trailer being pulled by a van.

Robinson said Felder and Johnson died at the scene.
