Berkeley County Library System (BCLS) is co-hosting “Garden and Grow: Vegetables” with Christopher Burtt, Clemson University Cooperative Extension Area Horticulture Agent, for Berkeley, Charleston and Dorchester counties, from 1-2 p.m. Thursday, March 14, at Goose Creek Library, 325 Old Moncks Corner Road in Goose Creek.

“Spring is fast approaching, which means we can start to think about what vegetables we want to grow,” Burtt said. We will discuss the basics of growing vegetables as well as some tricks to grow them better.”

Burtt will discuss the importance of pruning this season. He has worked with Clemson University for more than five years and has previous experience in nursery and landscaping. He coordinates the Tri-County Master Gardener program and assists homeowners and nurseries with technical support.
